Welcome

Welcome!

WELCOME to St Margaret’s Anglican

We are  a community church where a wonderful diversity of people serve, pray and grow to follow Jesus

This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Ps. 118:24. We are delighted you have joined us for worship today! We are blessed that you are here. Please take a moment to fill out a contact card (found at the back of the church).  Drop your completed card on the offertory plate or give it to one of our greeters. We would love to get to know you better.

We are Christ’s Church

Jesus created the church over 2000 years ago.  The Parish of St. Margaret has existed for over one hundred years to carry on the mission of Jesus. The church is God’s idea for reaching and reclaiming God’s people. The church is not the building; it is the gathered people of God who confess the power of the risen Christ over their lives. We are the church as we serve, pray and grow to love God, our neighbour and self. We are the church as we welcome the stranger, visit the sick, learn and worship together.

Anglican Worship

Anglican worship is structured. You are invited to participate as you feel comfortable. We stand, sit, kneel, read scripture, sing, pray and share communion (bread and wine) as part of our worship. We are called to worship God in spirit and truth and we believe God takes great delight in true worship.

A Safe and Welcoming Space for Children

Children are loved and welcomed at St Margaret’s. The children’s program (Sunday School) runs from September to June by trained and police screened adults. The program begins at 10:30 a.m. on the lower level of the church.  There is also a comfortable nursery if needed.  A family friendly space is available in the sanctuary if parents/guardians prefer their children to remain in worship.  At the peace, all children gather in the worship space for communion.

Welcome to St Margaret’s!  May you experience the loving and life-giving presence of God in our worship today.

Life Passages & Milestones

Baptism, confirmation, marriage and funerals are major life passages: important events in the life of a person and their community.  All of these life passages are celebrated within the context of prayer and worship.

Baptisms

You want the best for your child. The gift of spirituality is a precious gift for holistic life.  St Margaret’s have a formal process for baptism preparation that includes worship, fellowship, study and service.
