Baptism, confirmation, marriage and funerals are major life passages: important events in the life of a person and their community. All of these life passages are celebrated within the context of prayer and worship.
“I sign you with the cross and mark you as Christ own for ever” (BAS). Christian baptism is administered to infants, children and adults and involves preparation by the priest. It is administered with water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The bond which God establishes in baptism is indissoluble. Holy Baptism takes place as part of Sunday worship with communion and followed by a time of fellowship.
“I give myself to you, with all that I am and all that I have, I honour you in the name of God.” Marriage is a public service of the Church and a sacrament that is administered by the priest, within the community, with witnesses, family and friends. Couples seeking marriage are required to complete a marriage preparation course. For more information; rental of space for reception, click here.
“I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord”. Romans 8.38–39. The family or friends of a person who has died should consult the priest as soon as possible. Together the priest provide prayer and support as needed. We work closely with our local funeral home, Ridley Funeral Home to provide full range of funeral services.
